Last week we were on a street photography trip in southern Thailand. It was raining almost everyday, which did not influence the great experience. However on the last day on our way back the rivers startet to claim the streets and getting back to Bangkok was becoming a challenge.

The Asiaway connection road from south to Bangkok became a river.
Crossing bridges was becoming more and more dangerous until they had to completely block the road. Traveling to Bangkok was officially impossible at this point. We decided to move cross country and try to find and alternative way on the higher grounds.

It did not seem to look much better in the center of course. This family is leaving near the river, which is swelling very near to her house now.

No luck at this river crossing. The river claimed this bridge already before we got there. The people are looking at their neighbours or maybe even family members on the other side of the river.

These kids did not seem to worry to much about the flood yet and take advantage of the fun experience water is able to deliver.
